Newbury, NH – (March 2, 2009) – Mount Sunapee Resort is holding season pass rates for renewals and pre-buyers at last year’s (2008-2009) spring rates through April 30, 2009. Season passes go on sale Saturday, March 7, 2009.
Renewal rates are available to all 2008-2009 season pass holders. Renewal rates are also available to 2008-2009 Flex Card and 6-Pack card holders who want to upgrade to a 2009-2010 season pass. As an added incentive, Flex Card and 6-Pack upgrades can ski or ride the rest of this season and all of next season. Pre-buyers can also purchase a season pass at last year’s rates and then ski or ride for the full 2009-2010 season starting in the fall.
The popular Adult Peak Pass (ages 19-64), which includes unlimited skiing and riding at Mount Sunapee and skiing and riding seven days a week at Okemo Mountain in Vermont excluding holidays, is priced again at $769. A Young Adult/Senior Peak Pass (ages 13-18 & 65-69) is $379, a Junior Peak Pass (ages 6-12) is only $299 and a Super Senior Peak Pass (ages 70+) is $249. Children ages 5 and under pay only a $30 processing fee.
Two of the biggest values for all ages are the Midweek Super Pass, valid Monday through Friday excluding holidays at Mount Sunapee, Okemo and Stratton Mountain in Vermont, for $315 and the Value Pass Plus, which is good seven days a week excluding holidays at the same three resorts, for only $625.
As an added incentive all Peak Pass and Ultra Pass (which includes unlimited skiing and riding at Mount Sunapee, Okemo, Stratton and Crested Butte Resort in Colorado) holders who purchase on or before April 30, 2009 will have a complimentary companion ticket added to their pass that can be used from March 9, 2009 until the end of the 2009-2010 winter season. The companion pass can be used for any age skier or rider.
Mount Sunapee is having another phenomenal season with business levels coming into March just slightly behind the pace which set an all-time record last winter. For the second year in a row Mount Sunapee was ranked #1 in the East for Grooming and #2 in the East for Snow Quality in the Annual SKI Magazine Reader Survey. The resort was ranked #3 for accessibility plus received seven other top ten rankings including family programs, overall satisfaction, value, on-mountain food, terrain parks, scenery and weather.
